Our Story

We came together believing that mobile technology could play a bigger role in building people skills for work and life.

We wanted to be for everyone.

We wanted to democratise access to quality people skills support -

whether you’re an experienced leader, starting your first job or struggling to communicate with friends or family.

The PeopleSpot Team

  • Colin Beattie

    Colin Beattie

    CEO - FOUNDER

“ You can’t be everywhere, and not everyone can afford professional coaching - frustrating! ”

People Spot was simultaneously the fastest and slowest good idea that Colin ever had.
With over 20 years of coaching leaders in some of Australia’s highest profile digital organisations, Colin started The PeopleSpot from the concept that every staff member should have access to a coaching companion at work.

Having dealt with the impact on people, organisations, cultures, and relationships from employees avoiding those ‘people moments’, Colin is humbled and thrilled to be part of this.

  • Nerissa Beattie

    Nerissa Beattie

She’s held senior roles in high-performing HR teams, worked in consulting and had the privilege of supporting individuals experiencing a range of social, emotional and mental health issues. “ I can remember so many moments with people I've worked with that I could have handled better had I just had a handful of the little yet powerful tips in this app. ”

A scholar of both arts and science in his early years, it was the arts that won that battle - transforming Dave ‘the web developer’ into Dave ‘the UX and Design guy’.

Dave is globally renowned for his design work, as a respected member of the global Apple design alumni, and as ‘dangerous dave’ within the game and app design house Dangerous Pixels.

Like the other business people on the team, Nigel is committed to helping create a world of work where professional coaching is democratised for the many, not a chosen few.
